William Contreras belted a three-run walk-off home run with one out in the ninth inning to give the Milwaukee Brewers a 3-1 victory over the Miami Marlins on Sunday and a sweep of the three-game series.

Held to two hits through eight innings, the Brewers rallied against closer Pete Fairbanks (3-4), who relieved to start the ninth.

Jackson Chourio singled to open the ninth and Brice Turang walked. Andrew Vaughn struck out, but Contreras jumped on a 1-2 cutter, sending it 399 feet to center for his 10th home run to extend Miami’s losing streak to six games.

Grant Anderson (3-3) pitched a scoreless ninth for Milwaukee for the victory.

The Marlins wasted a dominating start by Eury Perez, who allowed just one hit over six innings, a line drive single by Vaughn off the glove of third baseman Leo Jimenez with two outs in the fourth. Perez struck out nine, walked three and hit one batter in a 93-pitch outing.

Esteury Ruiz accounted for the Marlins only run with one out in the third with his fifth homer and first since June 16, lining a 1-1 pitch from Robert Gasser 420 feet to left.

The Brewers threatened in the sixth with runners on second and third with no outs, but Perez worked out of the jam.

Christian Yelich walked on an overturned strike call and stole second. Jackson Chourio was hit by a pitch and both runners advanced on an errant pickoff attempt to second. Perez fanned Turang, who fouled off five two-strike pitches, and then got Vaughan on a scorching liner to short to double Yelich off third.

Gasser allowed one run on three hits in five innings, striking out five and walking none. Chad Patrick and Aaron Ashby prevented the Marlins from adding on, combining for three scoreless innings.
