Atlanta United acquired striker Daniel Rios on loan from Liga MX side Chivas for the rest of the 2024 season.
The 29-year-old Mexico native will occupy a supplemental roster slot, the MLS team announced Wednesday.
“We have been looking to strengthen our depth in the attack and find a proven goalscorer who knows MLS,” Atlanta vice president and technical director Carlos Bocanegra said in a release. “Daniel is a player we are familiar with from his previous stops in the league.”
Rios recorded 12 goals and three assists in 57 MLS matches (28 starts) with Nashville SC (2020-21) and Charlotte FC (2022).
