Toronto FC acquired defender Sigurd Rosted from Danish side Brondby IF on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Norwegian was signed with targeted allocation money through 2025 with an option for 2026.
“Sigurd is an experienced center back who has shown his leadership and intelligence while playing at a high level in a strong European league,” TFC coach and sporting director Bob Bradley said. “We are very excited to add Sigurd to our group as we know he is excited for this new challenge and to represent our club.”
Rosted has recorded 18 goals and six assists in 218 professional appearances with clubs in Denmark, Belgium and Norway.
