The Greyhounds stayed in striking distance by scraping for second-chance points. They scored 11 of them in the first half.
A 3-pointer by Sebastien Emenalo (seven points, eight rebounds) midway through the period cut the deficit to 25-15 before the Hoyas answered with a 14-0 burst to go up 39-15.
Iwuchukwu triggered the run with a slam and finished it with a layup. Lowe and freshman Pedro Pastre added 3-pointers.
Lowe scored the final points of half, draining another triple to make it 44-20.
Loyola’s best stretch of the game came early in the second half when it made eight consecutive shots, including five 3-pointers.
Ricketts started the streak with consecutive 3-pointers and finished it with a pair of driving layups. In between, Robbie Long III added two 3-pointers in a span of 27 seconds.
After Georgetown went in front 50-25, the Greyhounds scored 14 straight points to cut the deficit to 50-39 with 14:12 left, before Lowe steadied the Hoyas with two layups and a jumper from the paint.
Georgetown put the game away with a 16-point run that Jackson ignited with a pair of baskets. The 7-foot-1 Iwuchukwu then added 10 straight points as the Hoyas went up 72-45 with 4:35 to go.
