Christian Anderson scored 26 points and poured in a career-high eight 3-pointers as No. 12 Texas Tech shot its way to a dominating 92-73 win over struggling Baylor on Tuesday in a Big 12 clash in Waco, Texas.

The Red Raiders (15-4, 5-1 Big 12) used a blistering proficiency from beyond the arc to build a 19-point halftime lead and kept their collective foot on the accelerator throughout the second half, capturing their fourth straight win and eighth in their past nine outings.

After canning 14 3-pointers on 19 attempts in the first half, Texas Tech cooled off after halftime and instead fed the ball into the paint to JT Toppin, who scored 13 of his 22 points in the second half.

The Red Raiders tied a program record with 17 3-pointers in the win, leading by as many as 30 points with under five minutes to play.

Donovan Atwell added 21 points – all of them on 3-pointers – and LeJuan Watts had 13 as Texas Tech shot 60% from the floor and 63% from beyond the arc in the victory

Cameron Carr had 18 points, Dan Skillings Jr. scored 12 and Isaac Williams hit for 11 points for Baylor (11-7, 1-5), which has dropped two straight and five of its past six games.

Atwell shot the Red Raiders into the early lead, canning four 3-pointers over the opening 3:05 to help forge a 12-6 advantage. Texas Tech expanded the margin to 16 points when Toppin produced a three-point play at the 10:06 mark of the first half.

Skillings hit a putback layup and back-to-back 3-pointers, the latter with 6:21 left until halftime, to cull the Baylor deficit to 33-25. The Red Raiders pushed the lead back to 16 points when Atwell knocked in his sixth and seventh 3-pointers before Anderson poured in his sixth shot from beyond the arc at the buzzer to push the Red Raiders’ advantage to 55-36 at the break.

Atwell scored all 21 of his points while Anderson added 20 points before halftime for Texas Tech. The 14 3-pointers in the first half for the Red Raiders were three more than Baylor had allowed in any full game this season.

Skillings and Carr paced the Bears with nine points each in the first half.
