Chelsea Gray made a 3-pointer at the end of regulation to force overtime and then converted another one at the buzzer at the conclusion to give the Las Vegas Aces an 86-84 victory Thursday over the Indiana Fever at Indianapolis.

Gray’s winning shot, a runner from 26 feet, was set up after A’ja Wilson stole a pass from Indiana guard Caitlin Clark.

The Aces (22-9) avoided a season sweep against the Fever (19-12) by salvaging a win in the third meeting between the teams.

The Fever’s Kelsey Mitchell tied Wilson’s league single-season record set in 2023-24 of 15 straight games with at least 20 points by finishing with a game-high 28.

Wilson, who scored a combined 18 points in the fourth quarter and overtime, put Las Vegas ahead 83-82 with 1:30 left in the extra period.

Mitchell made a layup with 38 seconds left to give Indiana an 84-83 lead.

The Aces’ Jackie Young missed a 3-point attempt and Clark grabbed the rebound. She then made the turnover that led to Gray’s winning shot from beyond the arc.

Gray had 11 points, seven assists and four steals in the game.

Young finished with 22 points and nine assists, and Wilson had 26 points and 13 rebounds for Las Vegas. NaLyssa Smith added 14 points and nine boards.

Aliyah Boston had 21 points and 12 rebounds, and Clark had 20 points and eight assists for the Fever. But Clark also had eight turnovers.

Boston’s putback with 31 seconds remaining in regulation put the Fever ahead 74-72.

After Wilson missed a drive to the basket, Mitchell was fouled and made one of two free-throw attempts with 10.7 seconds remaining that gave Indiana a 75-72 lead.

Wilson could not corral the rebound on Mitchell’s missed free throw on the second attempt. She was ruled out of bounds, giving the Fever the ball.

Clark then missed two free throws with 7 seconds left.

Boston deflected the inbounds pass after Las Vegas called a timeout, but Young gained possession and passed to an open Chelsea Gray. She made a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime.
