Boston Fleet win five top honors at PWHL awards event

Members of the Boston Fleet took home five of the seven individual honors at the 2026 PWHL Awards in Detroit on Tuesday night.

Boston’s Aerin Frankel was named both the Billie Jean King MVP and the Goaltender of the Year.

Frankel, 26, is the first netminder to claim MVP honors. She set league records with 19 wins and eight shutouts and the Fleet shared the PWHL lead with 62 points in 30 games.

Teammates Megan Keller (Defender of the Year) and Haley Winn (Rookie of the Year) also were honored and Kris Sparre was named the Coach of the Year.

Kelly Pannek of the Minnesota Frost was named the Forward of the Year and Rebecca Leslie of the Ottawa Charge won the PWHL “Hockey For All” Award for making the greatest impact on her community.

PWHL First All-Star Team:
Forwards: Taylor Heise (Minnesota), Brianne Jenner (Ottawa) and Kelly Pannek (Minnesota)
Defenders: Sophie Jaques (Vancouver) and Megan Keller (Boston)
Goaltender: Aerin Frankel (Boston)

PWHL Second All-Star Team:
Forwards: Britta Curl-Salemme (Minnesota), Rebecca Leslie (Ottawa) and Laura Stacey (Montreal)
Defenders: Nicole Gosling (Montreal) and Haley Winn (Boston)
Goaltender: Ann-Renee Desbiens (Montreal)

All-Rookie Team:
Forwards: Kristyna Kaltounkova (New York), Abby Newhook (Boston) and Casey O’Brien (New York)
Defenders: Nicole Gosling (Montreal) and Haley Winn (Boston)
Goaltender: Hannah Murphy (Seattle)
