Caitlin Clark and Kelsey Mitchell each scored 34 points, carrying the Indiana Fever past the Connecticut Sun for a 111-91 runaway on Friday night in Indianapolis.

Clark, who distributed 12 assists, and Mitchell both shot 12-for-19 from the field. Clark connected on 6 of 12 3-point shots, while Mitchell went 4 of 9 from long distance.

Aliyah Boston provided 14 points for Indiana, which overcame a shoddy opening stretch of the game. Makayla Timpson tacked on 10 points and eight rebounds for the Fever (26-14), who have won seven of their past nine games.

Diamond Miller recorded 19 points while rookie Nell Angloma tallied a season-high 17 points off the bench for Connecticut. Aaliyah Edwards and reserve Hailey Van Lith both added 12 points.

The Sun (10-29) began a three-game road trip with their fourth loss in a five-game stretch. They shot 9-for-28 (32.1%) from 3-point range.

Indiana reached the 100-point mark for the third consecutive game.

The Fever outscored the Sun 21-12 on free throws. Indiana ended up making 39 of 67 shots from the floor (58.2%), while Connecticut made 35 of 76 (46.1%).

Connecticut was within 67-57 in the third quarter before the Fever closed the period on a 9-0 spurt.

After a slow start, the Fever built a 58-43 halftime lead, buoyed by a 39-15 scoring advantage in the second quarter. Clark had 18 points while Mitchell had 17 at the break.

Indiana made one of its first eight attempts from 3-point range but then connected five times on its next seven long-range launches.

The Fever held a 24-12 rebounding edge in the first half.

The Sun built a 28-14 lead in the first quarter behind Miller’s 12 points. The Fever scored the last five points of the quarter but made only four of 14 shots from the floor in the period overall.

Indiana won all three regular-season games vs. the Sun this season.
