Lamar Jackson, Ravens blow out Lions

Lamar Jackson passed for 357 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for another score as the host Baltimore Ravens manhandled the Detroit Lions 38-6 on Sunday.

Mark Andrews caught a pair of touchdown passes for the Ravens (5-2). Gus Edwards rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries and had an 80-yard reception.

Jahmyr Gibbs rushed for 68 yards and a touchdown and caught nine passes for 58 yards for the Lions (5-2), who had their four-game winning streak snapped.

Jared Goff passed for 284 yards and was intercepted once. Amon-Ra St. Brown caught 13 passes for 102 yards.

Detroit’s top running back, David Montgomery, was inactive due to a rib injury.

Baltimore scored touchdowns on its first four possessions while racing to a 28-0 halftime advantage. The Ravens racked up 355 yards before the break, including 255 passing yards by Jackson.

The Ravens wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, driving 75 yards on seven plays during the game’s first possession. A 46-yard pass from Jackson to Zay Flowers set up the touchdown. Jackson rushed for seven yards on 4th-and-1 to cap it off.

Baltimore required 11 plays to go 68 yards for its next score. Jackson escaped pressure and found Nelson Agholor in the back of the end zone on a 12-yard pass play.

The Ravens drove 92 yards for their next touchdown. A 28-yard pass play from Jackson to Patrick Ricard put the Ravens in Lions territory. An 11-yard pass from Jackson to Andrews finished off the drive.

An 80-yard drive featuring three plays of 20 or more yards set up the Ravens’ fourth score, a 2-yard run by Edwards.

The Lions drove inside the Ravens’ 10-yard line during the third quarter but turned the ball over on downs after three straight Goff incompletions.

A short throw by Jackson to Edwards turned into an 80-yard pass play, setting up Baltimore’s next touchdown. Jackson once again found Andrews toward the back of the end zone on an 8-yard strike to make it 35-0 midway through the third quarter.

The Lions ended Baltimore’s shutout bid when Gibbs scored on a 21-yard run early in the fourth. Goff’s two-point conversion pass was unsuccessful.

Jason Tucker added a 32-yard field goal for the Ravens.
