FIFA will open an investigation into the confrontational behavior displayed by a handful of Argentina players and at least one coach after the team fell 1-0 to Spain in Sunday’s World Cup Final at East Rutherford, N.J., multiple outlets reported.

After Spain won their second ever World Cup title, Argentina midfielder Leandro Paredes was handed a red card for confronting multiple Spain players on the field. Defender Nahuel Molina had his own confrontation with Spain captain Rodri.

The behavior of assistant coach Roberto Ayala also will be reviewed.

The investigation also will include a review of the Argentina team’s behavior during the post-match festivities. Some Argentina players reportedly turned their backs on the trophy presentation.

In an intense defensive-minded final, Argentina’s Enzo Fernandez was given a red card for a late challenge on Spain’s Pau Cubarsi in the third minute of second half stoppage time.
