Chicago Sky leading scorer Chennedy Carter will miss Wednesday night’s game against the Washington Mystics after entering health and safety protocols.
The Sky tested their players for COVID after several fell ill, the Chicago Sun-Times reported. Sky coach Teresa Weatherspoon canceled Tuesday’s practice and players were advised to mask up at the team facility.
Carter, 25, is averaging 17.2 points in 28 games (15 starts) this season, her first in Chicago. She did not play in 2023. She averages 14.3 points in 79 career games (44 starts) for three teams since being selected No. 4 overall in the 2020 draft.
The Sky (11-18) hold the eighth and final WNBA playoff spot heading into Wednesday’s contest.
