Tomas Hertl scored two power-play goals, including the game-winner with 34.1 seconds remaining, as the visiting Vegas Golden Knights rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Monday night.

With Tommy Novak in the penalty box for tripping Mark Stone, Hertl roofed a cross-crease pass from Stone into the top-right corner of the net for his seventh goal of the season and team-leading fifth on the power play.

Trevor Connelly also scored a goal and Jack Eichel had two assists for Vegas, which won for just the second time in nine games in Pittsburgh in franchise history (2-6-1). The Golden Knights’ only other victory at Pittsburgh came on Oct. 19, 2019.

Adin Hill made 23 saves for the Golden Knights, who snapped a two-game losing streak and won for the second time in seven games (2-3-2).

Novak scored a goal and had an assist, Kaedan Korczak had two assists and Rickard Rakell also scored a goal for Pittsburgh. Arturs Silovs finished with 20 saves.

Vegas, playing the second game of a back-to-back that began with a 3-2 shootout loss at Boston on Monday, took a 1-0 lead at the 16:36 mark of the first period on a power-play goal by Hertl, who backhanded in a rebound of a Mitch Marner shot from the slot.

Pittsburgh tied it 1-1 early in the third period when Novak put in a rebound of Korczak’s point shot for his fifth goal.

The Penguins took a 2-1 lead midway through the period when Rakell roofed a rebound from the left side of the net to extend his goal streak to four straight games.

The Golden Knights tied it at the 11:19 mark on a breakaway goal by Connelly, who deked Silovs with a backhand to forehand move and before sliding a shot inside the left post for his sixth goal.
