The Cincinnati Bengals have busted for Burrow.

Cincinnati clinched the top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft when it fell 38-35 Sunday in overtime to the Miami Dolphins on Jason Sanders’ 37-yard field goal.

The betting markets strongly favor the Bengals (1-14) going with LSU’s Heisman-winning quarterback Joe Burrow at No. 1.

PointsBet.com listed the redshirt senior at -250 on Sunday afternoon, with the odds further shortening about an hour after the game to -286, either because of money coming in or because the Bengals are particularly needy at quarterback. Cincinnati already benched veteran Andy Dalton once this season, with rookie fourth-rounder Ryan Finley not showing much in his time as the starter.

FanDuel Sportsbook had Burrow at -250, which is the amount of dollars that would need to be wagered to return $100 in profit.

Burrow has Ohio roots, growing up in The Plains, Ohio, and attending Ohio State for three seasons before transferring to LSU after spring ball in 2018. The second betting choice also has ties to the state — Ohio State junior defensive end Chase Young. He became the first defensive player to finish in the top four of the Heisman voting since 2012 when he was fourth this season.

PointsBet puts Young at +225, and then there’s a significant drop to Oregon senior quarterback Justin Herbert and Alabama junior quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (each at +1000), followed by Georgia junior left tackle Andrew Thomas (+1200).

Young and Tagovailoa — who is coming off a season-ending hip injury — have not officially announced their intention to enter the draft.

FanDuel has the same four behind Burrow, but with differing odds — Young (+310), Herbert (+500), Thomas (+1000) and Tagovailoa (+1100).

Burrow leads the nation in touchdown passes (an SEC-record 48) and is on pace to set a NCAA record for completion percentage (77.9, 342 of 439). He is second nationally with 4,715 passing yards and in passing efficiency rating (201.5) while directing the nation’s most productive offense (554.4 yards per game).

He will lead No. 1 LSU into a College Football Playoff semifinal in the Peach Bowl against No. 4 Oklahoma on Saturday in Atlanta. No. 2 Ohio State plays No. 3 Clemson in the second semifinal Saturday night in the Fiesta Bowl in Glendale, Ariz.
