All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado agreed to an eight-year deal with the Colorado Rockies worth up to $260 million.
ESPN and Ken Rosenthal of MLB Network reported Arenado can opt out after three years and will receive a full no-trade clause.
Arenado would become the highest-paid position player — based on average annual value; $32.5 million exceeds $30 million annually for Manny Machado with the Padres — in baseball.
Field Level Media will have more on this developing story.
