The Minnesota Timberwolves signed forward CJ Elleby and center Luka Garza.
Terms of the free agent deals announced Tuesday were not released.
The 6-foot-6 Elleby was a second-round pick by Portland in 2020. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.9 rebounds in 58 games (28 starts) with the Trail Blazers in 2021-22.
The 6-foot-11 Garza was a second-round pick by Detroit in 2021. He averaged 5.8 points and 3.1 rebounds in 32 games (five starts) with the Pistons in 2021-22.
In college, Garza earned unanimous 2020-21 National Player of the Year honors after his senior season at Iowa.
