Brandon Belt, who has spent all 12 seasons of his major league career with the San Francisco Giants, signed a one-year deal worth $9.3 million with the Toronto Blue Jays, multiple reports said Monday.
The 34-year-old first baseman played in 1,310 games with the Giants from 2011-22. He was an All-Star in 2016 and received votes for National League MVP in 2020.
In 2022 Belt batted a career-low .213 and hit eight home runs and 23 RBIs over 78 games. He has hit 175 home runs, 267 doubles and 584 RBIs in his career, with a .261 batting average.
