The NHL fined Minnesota Wild forward Ryan Hartman $4,594.59 – the maximum allowed under the CBA – Wednesday for slashing Calgary’s Rasmus Andersson.
The incident occurred in the first period of the Flames’ 1-0 shootout win over the Wild on Tuesday night. Hartman was assessed a minor penalty on the play.
Hartman, 28, has 23 points (nine goals, 14 assists) and 74 penalty minutes in 42 games this season.
Hartman is in his fourth season in Minnesota.
