The San Francisco 49ers are signing free agent defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to a four-year, $80 million deal, ESPN reported Monday.
The signing can become official on Wednesday, the first day of the new league year.
Hargrave, 30, helped anchor a star-studded defensive line in Philadelphia that advanced to the Super Bowl this past season. He had a career-high 11 sacks and 16 quarterback hits to go with 60 tackles in 17 starts.
Hargrave has 37.5 sacks in 111 career games (96 starts) with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2016-19) and Eagles. The Steelers selected Hargrave in the third round of the 2016 draft.
