Rain both before and during Sunday’s FireKeepers Casino 400 has caused the conclusion of the NASCAR Cup Series race to be postponed to Monday at 12 p.m. ET at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich.
The start of the race was delayed by one hour and 43 minutes due to a rain shower during pace laps. Rain persisted into the evening and because the track has no lights for nighttime racing, NASCAR officials made the decision to return Monday.
Tyler Reddick is leading the race through 74 of 200 laps at the 2-mile oval track.
Cup Series points leader Martin Truex Jr. won Stage 1, his fourth stage victory of 2023. Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, William Byron and Josh Berry have already wrecked.
