Three starters will be sidelined by injury for No. 3 Florida State when they play at Boston College in their Atlantic Coast Conference opener on Saturday, ESPN reported.
Missing their second straight game for the Seminoles will be left tackle Robert Scott Jr. and center Maurice Smith. Safety Akeem Dent, who has 32 Florida State starts on his stat sheet, injured his left knee last week against Southern Miss.
Bless Harris is expected to fill in for Scott, with Darius Washington covering for Smith at center. It would be the third career start for both.
Florida State (2-0) and Boston College (1-1) could do battle with wind and rain, the remnants of Hurricane Lee as it moves into New England.
