The Orlando Magic awarded guard Cole Anthony a three-year, $39 million contract extension on Monday, ESPN reported.
Anthony has averaged at least 12.9 points per game in each of his three seasons in the NBA since Orlando selected him with the 15th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.
He came off the bench in most of his appearances last season and posted 13.0 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game over 60 contests (four starts). Anthony has career averages of 14.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game.
Anthony signed the deal ahead of Monday evening’s deadline for rookie extensions, when several more players were expected to agree to similar deals. The NBA season begins this week.
