Veteran running back Leonard Fournette is in Buffalo and poised to sign with the Bills, he told the Schultz Report on Monday.
The move is pending a physical.
Fournette, 28, has yet to suit up with any team this season after being cut by Tampa Bay in March in a cost-cutting move. Fournette rushed for 668 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games (nine starts) for the Buccaneers in 2022. He also caught 73 passes for 523 yards and another three TDs.
Fournette has rushed for 4,478 yards and 34 touchdowns in six seasons with Jacksonville (2017-19) and Tampa Bay The Jaguars selected him No. 4 overall in the 2017 draft. He has 2,219 career receiving yards and seven TDs.
Fournette would join a running back room of James Cook and Latavius Murray. Damien Harris is currently on injured reserve. The Bills also have Ty Johnson.
