FaZe Clan and Team Vitality both won their semifinal matches on Saturday at the BLAST Premier Fall Final 2023.
FaZe edged Complexity Gaming 2-1, while Vitality got past Cloud9 by the same score. They will meet in Sunday’s grand final, where the winner will walk away with $200,000, 3,000 BLAST Premier points and an automatic entry into the World Final in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, from Dec. 13-17.
Sunday’s grand final, like all matches in the tournament, will be best-of-three.
On Saturday, FaZe Clan opened the match with a 13-10 win on Anubis before dropping a 13-5 decision on Nuke. But FaZe responded, taking the decisive third map, Ancient, 13-7.
FaZe saw four of five players drop at least 40 kills, with Norwegian Havard “rain” Nygaard leading the way with 45.
Team Vitality followed a similar path to success, kicking things off with a 16-13 overtime victory on Mirage. After falling 13-9 on Nuke, Vitality punched its ticket to the grand final by prevailing 13-11 on Inferno.
Mathieu “ZywOo” Herbaut of France led Team Vitality with a match-high 62 kills and a plus-20 kills-deaths ratio.
