Los Angeles Chargers star wide receiver Keenan Allen is active for Sunday’s road game against the New England Patriots in Foxborough, Mass.
Allen, who had been listed as questionable, sustained a bruised thigh during Los Angeles’ 20-10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens last weekend. The five-time Pro Bowl selection did not participate in practice either Wednesday or Thursday before returning in a limited capacity on Friday.
Allen’s 97 receptions lead the NFL while his 1,117 receiving yards trailed only Miami’s Tyreek Hill (1,324) entering play in Week 13.
While Allen is active, the Chargers (4-7) listed the following players as inactive: running back Isaiah Spiller, cornerback Ja’Sir Taylor, offensive tackle Zack Bailey, tight end Nick Vannett, wide receiver Simi Fehoko and defensive tackle Scott Matlock.
The Patriots (2-9) listed running back JaMycal Hasty, cornerback Alex Austin, offensive tackle Vederian Lowe, defensive end Deatrich Wise Jr. and wide receivers Demario Douglas and Kayshon Boutte.
