The exclusive field at Augusta National is shaping up to be even smaller than usual for the 2024 Masters.
Including the addition of 11 players who finish this year in the top 50 in the world rankings, only 77 players are on track to tee off in April in Augusta, Ga. That’s 10 fewer than the 2023 edition, won by Spain’s Jon Rahm.
The Masters already has the smallest field among the four majors. The last time more than 100 players competed for the green jacket was in 1966 with 103.
The 11 expected to earn spots through the top 50 are: Ryan Fox, Min Woo Lee, Denny McCarthy, Will Zalatoris, Justin Rose, Harris English, Eric Cole, J.T. Poston, Adrian Meronk, Adam Hadwin and Nicolai Hojgaard.
Four players secured invitations by winning PGA Tour events this fall: Luke List, Erik Van Rooyen, Camilo Villegas and Ludvig Aberg.
