Phoenix star forward Kevin Durant will miss his third game straight game due to a hamstring injury when the Suns host the Miami Heat on Friday night.
Durant felt some discomfort in his right hamstring during the mid-day shootaround, according to Phoenix coach Frank Vogel.
“They are doing all the work they can to get him back on the floor,” Vogel said of team trainers during his pregame availability session.
The Suns also ruled out guard Eric Gordon (knee) and forward Nassir Little (knee).
Miami star forward Jimmy Butler (toe) was previously ruled out. It will be the seventh time in eight games that Butler was unavailable.
He initially missed four games due to a calf injury. After playing against the Utah Jazz on Dec. 30, Butler has missed the past three because of a toe ailment.
The Heat ruled out forward Caleb Martin (ankle) on Friday. It is his fifth straight missed game.
