Georgia Tech trailed 62-57 when Kelly’s layup trimmed the Yellow Jacket deficit to three points with 4:16 left in regulation. Clemson then scored the next six points to extend the Tigers’ lead to nine.

The Yellow Jackets followed with six straight points, cutting the lead to three. Hunter had a chance to give Clemson a four-point lead with 11 seconds left, but missed the second of two free throws, and George sent the game to overtime on a 3-pointer with 2.3 seconds left.

In overtime, Georgia Tech led 82-79 before Schieffelin hit a layup to cut the deficit to one with 52 seconds left. After a defensive stop, Hall went to the foul line in hopes of giving Clemson the lead with 23 seconds left, but split the free throws and the game was sent to a second overtime.

In the final frame, Kelly and George combined for nine of Georgia Tech’s 11 points, while Clemson connected on just one field goal.

Georgia Tech finished 15 for 35 (42.9 percent) on 3-pointers while Clemson shot 3 for 21 (14.3 percent) from beyond the arc.
