The Baltimore Orioles signed Ryan O’Hearn to a one-year, $3.5 million contract Wednesday, avoiding arbitration with the first baseman/outfielder.
The figure is at the midway point between the $3.8 million O’Hearn sought and the $3.2 million Baltimore offered last month.
The deal also includes a $7.5 million club option for the 2025 season with no buyout, MLB Network reported.
O’Hearn, 30, earned $1.4 million in 2023 as he set career highs with a .289 batting average and 60 RBIs and ties his career best with 14 home runs.
He is a career .237/.300/.413 hitter with 52 homers and 191 RBIs in 454 games with the Kansas City Royals (2018-22) and Orioles.
