Zach Hyman scored twice as the Edmonton Oilers extended their win streak to four games with a 6-1 victory over the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.

Connor McDavid added a goal and a helper for Edmonton. Corey Perry, Cody Ceci and Ryan McLeod also scored for the Oilers. Leon Draisaitl added three assists for Edmonton, which has won five straight meetings with the Penguins.

Calvin Pickard made 22 saves to improve to 3-1-1 in six career appearances against Pittsburgh.

Evgeni Malkin had the lone Pittsburgh goal, and Alex Nedeljkovic stopped 31 shots for the Penguins, who have dropped three straight and concluded its four-game road trip with just one win (1-3-0).

McDavid gave Edmonton a 6-0 lead, one-timing the rebound off Draisaitl’s shot for his 23rd of the season at 6:03 of the third. McDavid extended his point streak to 11 games (two goals, 24 assists) in the win.

Malkin got the Penguins on the board at 12:23 of the third period, with his 17th of the season snapping a 13-game goal drought.

The Oilers scored four unanswered in the middle frame to carry a 5-0 lead into the third.

Perry doubled the Oilers’ lead 2:57 into the second, tipping in a McLeod pass past Nedeljkovic for his eighth of the season.

Edmonton took a 3-0 lead when Hyman put home the rebound off Draisaitl’s shot at 5:55 of the second for his team-leading 42nd goal. Hyman has 10 goals in his last eight games.

The Oilers scored twice in 23 seconds to close out the period.

McLeod made it 4-0 with 1:13 remaining in the second, putting his shot short-side up and over the shoulder of Nedeljkovic for his 10th.

Then, with 49.9 seconds remaining in the frame, Ceci beat Nedeljkovic with a wrist shot from the face-off circle for his second of the season.

Edmonton outshot Pittsburgh 11-8 and led 1-0 after one period.

Hyman opened the scoring, poking home the rebound off McDavid’s shot for his 41st of the season at 14:07 of the opening period.

Sunday was the first of two meetings between the Oilers and Penguins in a week. The teams will conclude the season series on March 10 in Pittsburgh.
