Florida A&M men’s basketball coach Robert McCullum is out after seven seasons and a 67-133 record.
The school confirmed Wednesday that McCullum’s contract, which expires June 30, will not be renewed.
The Rattlers finished 6-23 overall and 4-14 in the Southwest Athletic Conference this season.
“I want to thank Coach McCullum for his dedication to FAMU and our basketball student-athletes,” athletic director Tiffani-Dawn Sykes said. “He has led this program with integrity and has positively influenced countless young men, both players and coaches. We wish Coach McCullum and his family the very best in the future.”
McCullum was the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference’s Coach of the Year in 2020-21.
McCullum, 69, has compiled a career record of 151-254 in 14 seasons as a Division I head coach at Western Michigan (2000-03), South Florida (2003-07) and Florida A&M (2017-24).
