The Milwaukee Brewers will call up top infield prospect Tyler Black in advance of Tuesday’s home game against the Tampa Bay Rays, multiple outlets reported.
Black, 23, was considered the fourth-best prospect in the Brewers’ organization and the No. 42 top prospect in all of baseball, according to mlb.com.
A first-round draft pick (No. 33 overall) in 2021, the left-handed power hitter is batting .303 with five home runs and 18 RBIs at Triple-A Nashville.
No corresponding move has been reported, with the Brewers also required to open a spot on the 40-man roster for the Toronto native, who attended Wright State in Dayton, Ohio.
