The Tampa Bay Rays reinstated outfielder Josh Lowe from the 10-day injured list ahead of Monday’s series opener against the visiting Chicago White Sox.
Lowe, 26, has been dealing with injuries to his right hamstring, right oblique and left hip since spring training.
He batted .231 with three homers and 11 RBIs in 10 games on a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham.
Lowe batted .292 with 20 home runs, 83 RBIs and 32 stolen bases in 135 games with the Rays last season.
Tampa Bay also called up right-hander Edwin Uceta from Durham.
In corresponding moves, the Rays optioned infielder Curtis Mead and left-hander Jacob Lopez to Triple-A and also designated infielder/outfielder Niko Goodrum for release or assignment.
