Saturday night’s game between the San Diego Padres and host Atlanta Braves was postponed because of rain.
“We had been hopeful that we would find conditions suitable to play; however, after further consultation with the weather service, radar indicates unsuitable conditions for starting the game,” the Braves said in a statement.
The teams will play a day-night doubleheader on Monday to complete the four-game series. The Padres won the opener Friday night, 3-1.
Game 1 on Monday will be played as scheduled at 12:20 p.m. ET. The second game of the doubleheader has been scheduled for 6:20 p.m. ET.
