The Houston Astros claimed right-hander Kaleb Ort off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles on Tuesday.
The Astros optioned the 32-year-old veteran to Triple-A Sugar Land.
Ort has spent the entire 2024 season at Triple-A Norfolk, going 0-1 with a 12.08 ERA and two saves in 14 relief appearances.
He went 2-4 with a 6.27 ERA in 47 games (two starts) over three seasons with the Boston Red Sox (2021-23).
