Inclement weather in Minneapolis forced the postponement of Saturday’s game between the Minnesota Twins and Oakland Athletics.
The game is scheduled to be made up Sunday as part of a split doubleheader, with the first game set for a 2:10 p.m. Eastern time start and the second for 7:40 p.m.
The Twins have won the first two games of the series, including a 6-5 victory in 10 innings on Friday night. Minnesota battled back from a 4-0 deficit to force extra innings and get the win.
Twins right-hander Bailey Ober (5-4, 5.13 ERA) was scheduled to start Saturday against the Athletics righty Joey Estes (2-2, 4.78). Minnesota right-hander Chris Paddock (5-3, 4.79) was slated to start the original Sunday day game against Oakland left-hander JP Sears (4-5, 4.02).
