The Atlanta Braves placed infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson on the 10-day injured list Tuesday due to a bacterial infection.
Anderson, 31, has not played since June 12 and his IL designation is retroactive to Saturday. He is 0-for-5 with two strikeouts in three games this season with Atlanta.
Anderson is a career .251 hitter with 66 home runs and 273 RBIs in 630 games with the Miami Marlins (2017-22), Milwaukee Brewers (2023) and Braves.
Atlanta recalled infielder Luke Williams from Triple-A Gwinnett in a corresponding transaction. Williams, 27, is hitless (0-for-3) with one run in seven games this season for the Braves.
