Racing Louisville rookie forward Emma Sears signed a three-year contract on Wednesday that spans through the 2026 season.
Financial information was not disclosed by the team, however it noted that the contract upgraded terms and bonuses for Sears.
“We are extremely excited to extend Emma’s contract,” Racing coach Bev Yanez said. “She is committed to her growth and works hard every day in the environment. Her ability on the ball and work ethic off have been impressive early on.”
Sears, 23, has played in nine matches (two starts) and scored two goals since being selected by Racing Louisville with the 28th overall pick of the 2024 NWSL Draft.
“Emma has come into the NWSL and made an instant impact,” Racing general manager Ryan Dell said. “We are excited for her to continue to develop and grow in Louisville, and we’re thrilled to have her here as an important piece of what we’re building.”
