Seattle Reign defender Ryanne Brown will miss the rest of the 2024 NWSL season with a knee injury.
Brown, 25, sustained a torn ACL and torn meniscus in the first half of a 2-1 win over the Utah Royals on July 19.
Brown, who appeared in 10 matches (four starts) this season, was placed on the season-ending injury list.
“We’re heartbroken for Ryanne,” head coach Laura Harvey said. “She has consistently been a player who works hard every day to help the team as much as possible. Her performances on the field this year have shown how much growth there has been in Ryanne’s game. We will be fully supporting her throughout this journey.”
Brown was drafted by the Reign with the 21st overall pick in the 2022 NWSL Draft and has since appeared in 28 matches in all competitions.
