The New England Revolution acquired Tim Parker and cash from St. Louis City on Saturday in exchange for fellow defender Henry Kessler.
The Revolution received Parker, 31, and $600,000 in general allocation money for 2025.
Parker made 21 appearances (20 starts) for St. Louis City in 2024, his 10th MLS season. The veteran has tallied six goals and four assists across 267 career appearances (256 starts) for four teams.
“Tim brings a wealth of experience to our club,” Revs sporting director Curt Onalfo said. “Tim performed at the highest level last season as an MLS Best XI and All-Star selection. We look forward to welcoming Tim to the New England Revolution as we continue to strengthen our roster.”
Kessler, 26, appeared in 17 matches (15 starts) in his fifth season with New England. He contributed four goals over 98 games (88 starts) since making his MLS debut with the Revs in 2020.
Like Parker, Kessler had made two appearances for the U.S. men’s national team.
“Henry is a quality center back with national team experience since being drafted in 2020,” St. Louis sporting director Lutz Pfannenstiel said. “He is an aggressive defender and his vision with the ball will make him a great addition to our defense.”
New England (7-14-2, 23 points) is last in the Eastern Conference, while St. Louis City (4-10-11, 23 points) sits second to last in the West standings.
