The Pittsburgh Pirates placed relief pitcher Colin Holderman on the 15-day injured list Thursday due to a sprain in the right wrist.
Holderman, 28, is 3-5 with a 3.21 ERA and 47 strikeouts in 44 appearances out of the bullpen this season.
He is 8-8 with a 3.63 ERA and two saves in 126 games (no starts) with the New York Mets (2022) and Pirates.
The Pirates recalled fellow right-hander Ben Heller from Triple-A Indianapolis and designated outfielder Edward Olivares for assignment in corresponding moves.
Heller, 33, appeared in two games with the Pirates earlier this season, throwing only two innings but giving up 12 runs (11 earned) on nine hits and a walk.
