Racing Louisville signed midfielder Kayla Fischer to a one-year contract extension through the 2025 NWSL season.
The deal announced Thursday includes “upgraded terms” for the second-year player. Details were not disclosed.
Fischer, 24, has contributed two goals and two assists in 34 matches (20 starts) since joining Racing as a second-round draft pick in 2023.
“Kayla continues to impress us with her versatility and ability,” Racing coach Bev Yanez said. “She has a positive energy and passion for the club to succeed. We are extremely excited with her extension to stay in Louisville.”
Fischer tallied 28 goals and 20 assists at Ohio State from 2018-22, twice earning All-Big Ten honors and helping the Buckeyes reach four NCAA tournaments.
