The Chicago Bears acquired defensive tackle Chris Williams and a seventh-round pick of the 2025 NFL Draft from the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.
The Browns, who boast plenty of depth at defensive tackle, will receive a sixth-round selection in the 2025 NFL Draft. That pick was acquired by Chicago in the deal that sent wide receiver Chase Claypool to the Miami Dolphins last October.
Williams, 26, recorded six tackles with the Indianapolis Colts in 13 games spread across the 2021 and 2022 seasons. The undrafted player from Wagner joined the Browns’ practice squad in December.
He registered two sacks in Cleveland’s 27-12 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in a preseason game last Saturday.
