Tuesday’s game between the Texas Rangers and host Chicago White Sox was suspended after four pitches and eventually called due to rain.
Rangers leadoff batter Marcus Semien worked a 2-2 count against Chicago starting pitcher Garrett Crochet in the top of the first inning before the game was suspended amid pouring rain.
Now, the teams will reconvene Wednesday at 4:10 p.m. CT for what amounts to a straight doubleheader. The second game will start 30 to 45 minutes after the end of Game 1.
Pitching plans for the doubleheader were not known. Left-hander Andrew Heaney was in line to start for the Rangers on Tuesday.
