The Portland Thorns have acquired midfielder Sophie Hirst from the Houston Dash, both NWSL teams announced Monday.
The Dash will receive $25,000 in allocation money and up to an additional $10,000 in transfer funds if Hirst meets certain performance metrics.
Hirst, 24, appeared in 23 matches for Houston since being selected with the No. 20 overall pick in the 2023 draft out of Harvard.
She scored her first career NWSL goal on June 3, 2023 in a 2-0 victory against the visiting Orlando Pride.
