Oregon offensive tackle Josh Conerly Jr. announced Wednesday that he is declaring for the NFL Draft.
The standout Conerly earned first-team All-Big Ten honors this season for a team that earned the No. 1 seed in the College Football Playoff. The Ducks were eliminated by Ohio State in the Rose Bowl.
“It’s been real Eugene,” Conerly said while posting his social media announcement.
“I want to thank Coach (Dan) Lanning and the whole law firm for giving me a home, a family, and consistently allowing me to be myself. You let me grow here, not just as a player but as a man,” he said.
Conerly is likely a Day 2 pick in the NFL Draft with a slight chance of becoming a first-round choice.
