Duke defensive stopper Maliq Brown will be sidelined several weeks with a sprained knee, Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer announced Monday.
Brown was injured during the first half of Saturday’s 86-78 victory over Notre Dame in Durham, N.C.
“He’ll miss an extended period of time here,” Scheyer said on the Atlantic Coast Conference coaches’ weekly press conference. “He’ll miss weeks.”
The 6-foot-9 junior forward is averaging 2.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.5 steals in 17.9 minutes over 15 games off the bench this season.
Brown played his first two seasons at Syracuse before transferring within the ACC.
