Elly De La Cruz, Gunnar Henderson and Paul Skenes will share the cover for “MLB The Show 25,” Sony Interactive Entertainment announced Tuesday.
The 20th anniversary edition marks the first time that multiple athletes have been featured on the same cover.
De La Cruz is the first Cincinnati Reds player to grace the cover of a video game. Henderson is the first Baltimore Orioles player so honored since Cal Ripken Jr. on “MLB 99” and Skenes is the first Pittsburgh Pirates cover star since Andrew McCutchen on “MLB 13: The Show.”
De La Cruz, 23, made his first All-Star team in 2024. The shortstop led the majors with 67 stolen bases and finished with 25 homers, 10 triples, 36 doubles, 76 RBIs and 105 runs in 160 games.
Henderson, 23, followed up his 2023 Rookie of the Year win with his first All-Star selection in 2024. The shortstop batted .281 with 37 home runs, 92 RBIs and 118 runs in 159 games.
Skenes, 22, rocketed from No. 1 pick in the 2023 draft to 2024 Rookie of the Year and All-Star selections. The right-hander finished 11-3 with a 1.96 ERA and 170 strikeouts in 133 innings.
