Memphis Grizzlies star point guard Ja Morant is out for Sunday night’s contest against the Milwaukee Bucks due to right shoulder soreness.
It marks the second straight game that Morant has missed. He also sat out Thursday’s 120-119 home win over the Houston Rockets.
Morant sustained the injury during a practice on Wednesday. Coach Taylor Jenkins said the injury is a “short term” thing.
Morant, 25, is averaging 20.3 points, 7.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 28 games this season. He has spent all six seasons of his NBA career with the Grizzlies.
