The Miami Heat are acquiring guard Davion Mitchell from the Toronto Raptors for small forward PJ Tucker, a second-round draft pick and cash considerations, ESPN reported Thursday.
Mitchell, 26, is averaging 6.3 points, 4.6 assists and 1.9 rebounds in 44 games (22 starts) this season. He is set to become a restricted free agent after the season.
Mitchell is contributing 7.3 points, 3.1 assists and 1.7 boards in 271 career games (54 starts) with the Sacramento Kings (2021-23) and Raptors.
Miami acquired Tucker from the Utah Jazz in Wednesday’s blockbuster multi-team trade that culminated in Jimmy Butler landing with the Golden State Warriors.
Tucker, 39, has not played this season.
He is averaging 6.6 points and 5.4 rebounds in 883 games (666 starts) in his career.
