The Chicago Sky are the latest team to book a bigger venue for home games against the Indiana Fever in the 2025 season.

The Sky are moving their June 7 and July 27 games with the Fever to the United Center in Chicago, home of the Bulls. It seats more than 20,000 for basketball, while the Sky’s home, Wintrust Arena, seats half of that.

To accommodate the switch, the July 27 contest was rescheduled from the day before.

These will be the first WNBA games ever at the United Center.

Fan interest in the Fever’s games skyrocketed last season when Indiana selected Iowa’s Caitlin Clark, the all-time leading scorer in NCAA Division I history, with the No. 1 overall pick. The Fever have another budding superstar in Aliyah Boston, the No. 1 overall pick in 2023, and this offseason added guard/forward DeWanna Bonner, forward Sophie Cunningham and forward Natasha Howard.

“Given the explosive growth in the WNBA, we now have a first-ever opportunity to invite more fans to experience this matchup at a larger venue of the United Center,” Adam Fox, Sky president and CEO said in a news release. “Chicago Sky fans have consistently shown up for the team and the city, and we want to reward their passion and dedication by bringing this excitement to an expanded capacity. We know Skytown will help us create a special environment at the United Center this summer.”

The largest single-game home attendance in Sky history is 16,444 at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Ill., on July 13, 2016.

Earlier this week, the Washington Mystics their two home games against the Fever in 2025 to CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore, which more than doubles the seating of their home venue, the approximately 4,200-seat CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C..
